Spring Time at Farrell Wines

Springtime is in the air and that’s the time of year when we experience longer Riesling Vinesdays and some extra sunshine.

The Clare Valley is now a stunning sea of green as our vines come out of the winter dormancy. Magnificent bud bursts are now well underway and the start of the growing season is looking very promising for the 2021 vintage.

The welcome rains in September and October have washed away last years dry conditions and have provide a freshness and vitality to the vines.

Many of our friends are also coming out of a COVID induced hibernation and taking the opportunity to visit the region to experience the beautiful vineyards and gently swaying gum trees that make the Clare Valley so unique amongst South Australian wine regions.

If you are looking for a terrific country pub dining experience you can’t look past the award winning Sevenhill Hotel or for something completely different the brand new Watervale Hotel and its magnificent beer garden where you can sample Farrell Wines ‘Godfather Too’ 2017 Cabernet.
